By accessing or using openprojects.ro (the "Platform"), you agree to these Terms & Conditions in their entirety. If you do not agree with any of the provisions below, please do not use the Platform.

Continued use of the Platform after an updated version of these Terms is published constitutes tacit acceptance of the new conditions.

OpenProjects is a personal, non-commercial platform offering a collection of free web-based tools across the areas of productivity, personal finance, education, creativity, and entertainment.

The Platform is hosted in the European Union and is subject to Romanian and European legislation, including:

• Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR)
• Romanian Law no. 506/2004 on personal data processing in electronic communications
• Romanian Law no. 365/2002 on e-commerce
• EU Directive 2002/58/EC (ePrivacy Directive)

You agree to use the Platform exclusively for lawful purposes. The following are prohibited:

• Any attempt to gain unauthorised access to systems or databases
• Automated use (scraping, bots) without prior written consent
• Distributing malicious, offensive, or illegal content through the Platform
• Exploiting vulnerabilities or disrupting the normal operation of the service
• Commercial use without the operator's written consent
• Any form of harassment or abusive behaviour

Violation of these rules may result in access being restricted or blocked without notice, and may give rise to civil or criminal liability under applicable law.

The Platform collects a minimum of data necessary for its operation: IP addresses (partially anonymised), browser type, and pages accessed — stored in access logs for security and aggregate statistics only.

Your rights under GDPR (Art. 15–22):

• Right of access — request a copy of the data we hold about you
• Right to rectification — request correction of inaccurate data
• Right to erasure ("right to be forgotten") — request deletion of your data
• Right to portability — receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format
• Right to object — object to processing in certain circumstances
• Right to lodge a complaint — with the Romanian Data Protection Authority (ANSPDCP) at dataprotection.ro

California users (CCPA): If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, including the right to request deletion of your data and to opt out of its sale. Contact us using the details below.

The Platform uses strictly necessary cookies (session, preferences) and analytics and advertising cookies through Google AdSense.

Cookie categories used:

• Essential cookies — required for the technical operation of the site; cannot be disabled
• Analytics cookies — aggregated, anonymised traffic data
• Advertising cookies — managed by Google AdSense; can be configured via Google Ads Settings

In accordance with the ePrivacy Directive and GDPR, you have the right to refuse non-essential cookies. You can manage your preferences through your browser settings.

The Platform displays advertisements through Google AdSense (Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA) to support development and hosting costs.

Google may use cookies to display relevant ads based on your previous visits to this site or other sites. You can disable personalised advertising via Google Ads Settings or aboutads.info.

Use of Google AdSense is governed by the Google Privacy Policy. Data transfers to Google LLC (USA) are carried out on the basis of Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission (GDPR Art. 46(2)(c)).

All tools, design, source code, and original content on the Platform are the property of the OpenProjects operator and are protected by copyright law in Romania (Law no. 8/1996) and the European Union.

Personal and non-commercial use of the tools provided is permitted. Reproduction, copying, distribution, or sale of any element of the Platform without the operator's prior written consent is prohibited.

Third-party APIs used on the Platform (e.g. Wikipedia, Open-Meteo, Pl@ntNet, etc.) are subject to their own terms and licences.

The Platform is provided "as is", without express or implied warranties of any kind, including but not limited to warranties of availability, accuracy, or fitness for a particular purpose.

The operator is not liable for:

• Loss or damage resulting from the use of or inability to use the Platform
• Errors, inaccuracies, or omissions in tool-generated content
• Financial, medical, or legal decisions made based on information from the Platform
• Service interruptions due to technical issues or force majeure
• The content of advertisements displayed through Google AdSense

The operator reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any tool or feature of the Platform, temporarily or permanently, without prior notice.

These Terms may be updated at any time. The updated version will be published on this page with the date it takes effect. Continued use of the Platform after changes are published constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

The Platform is intended for users aged at least 13 years. Users under the age of 16 (under the GDPR threshold applied in EU member states) must have the consent of a parent or legal guardian to use the Platform.

We do not intentionally collect personal data from children under 13. If a legal guardian discovers that a child below this age has provided personal data, they are requested to contact us for immediate deletion of that data.

US users (COPPA): Under the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act, we do not collect data from children under 13 without verifiable parental consent.

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with Romanian law. Any dispute arising from or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in Romania.

For EU users: In accordance with Regulation (EU) No 524/2013, you may access the EU online dispute resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.

For US users: Use of the Platform from the USA does not create any contractual relationship governed by US law. Such users access the Platform under Romanian law and jurisdiction.
